What is APMS Web Application?
Ans : Audit Para Monitoring System (APMS) is a web-portal, developed according to the recommendations of the PAC, which facilitates its users to online submission, vetting and forwarding of ATN/ATR and EN to Lok Sabha through a user friendly interface.
What is ATN/EN/ATR?
Ans : ATN (Action Taken Note) The action taken by the Ministry/Department against concerned CAG audit paragraphs is called ATN. EN (Explanatory Note) Ministry/Dept. is assigned an amount against a grant. If Excess or savings arise for more than 100 crores in respect of the grant, concerned Min/Dept has to provide an explanation in the prescribed format recommended by the PAC. This explanation is called EN. ATR (Action Taken Reply)- Action taken by Min/Dept in respect of PAC observations/recommendations mentioned in the PAC Reports is called ATR.
What are the main advantages of this system?
Ans : In this portal, the whole process of the submission of ATN/ATR/EN is being uploaded on Portal for obtaining vetting comments of Audit and forwarding the final ATNs/ATRs/ENs to Lok Sabha Secretariat (PAC Branch). This has streamlined the whole process by eliminating unnecessary delay and incorporating transparency. Online submission encourages paperless culture in line with “Digital India” programme and minimizes the task of scanning the bulky ATNs/ATRs/ENs.

Is it mandatory to add Old as well as New System while adding ATN?
Ans : Ministry can upload data using any one option “New” or “Old”.
Who will be eligible for eSign in ATN/ATR/EN ?
Ans : Secretary/Additional Secretary/Joint Secretary are eligible for eSign.
Is Web application is accessible only on Internet Explorer?
Ans : New version of APMS Web application is accessible on all browsers and can be accessed through all types of devices such as Desktop, Laptop, Tablet and Mobile handsets etc.
If user forgets the password, is there any option in the system to recover the same?
Ans : No, however user can reset the old password by providing mandatory details.
